Once Upon a Shelf proudly supports the K-9s who put their lives on the line every day.
Our Story
The Jerry Lee Strong Foundation is committed to caring for active police K-9s that put their lives at risk every day to protect those in their communities. Our namesake, Jerry Lee, was a K-9 officer who was injured on duty, taking a bullet for his partner, Officer Ed Reeves.
These heroic K-9s often do not receive the care and assistance they deserve during their service.
Our mission is to recognize their bravery and loyalty while filling the gap in care and assistance until their departments can fully fulfill their needs.
The Jerry Lee Strong Foundation is grateful for the community and generous donors that help us make a difference in the lives of these deserving animals.
